Groundbreaking Science

Never before has tear production been viewed as a localized manifestation of systemic (body-wide) health!

Support normal tear production by supporting autonomic health.

Parasym Plus EyesTM

Our Tears

Ocular tears do more than just provide moisture! They play an important role in protecting the eye from infection, they allow a smooth, clear surface for good vision, and they continually nourish the ocular surface.

To help maintain ocular health, tears contain over 2,000 different molecules, including over 1,500 proteins as well as growth factors, lipids, antioxidants, mucins, electrolytes, and enzymes.

Artificial tears cannot be a substitute for natural tears.

We must maximize the ability to produce our own, natural tears while controlling inflammation.

Why You Don’t Need to Stimulate Your Vagus Nerve

The recent surge in interest around the vagus nerve has led many to seek methods to stimulate their vagus nerve – everything from humming or splashing water on their face to using expensive vagus nerve stimulators. However, it's essential to realize that the vagus..

Signs You Need to Support Acetylcholine – TOP TEN

Acetylcholine is one of the body’s most important neurotransmitters. You can’t see it, you can’t measure it, but it is critical for your health. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter — a chemical messenger that allows your nerves to communicate.

Exciting New Science Released — Dry Eyes in Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome

Patients suffering from Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) often experience a myriad of ocular symptoms. These conditions are addressed in my latest book, “Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome: Your Eyes and EDS Updated” and which conditions can be detrimental or which are merely...

This Works Via Two Mechanisms

1

The Lacrimal Nerves

Tear production is under tight neural control and is a complicated neurological process. The parasympathetic nervous system is the major pathway for tear production. It works via stimulation of the lacrimal gland by the parasympathetic lacrimal nerves.

The lacrimal nerves communicate with the lacrimal gland to produce tears as needed. The nerves release a neurotransmitter (acetylcholine) that then lands on receptors in the lacrimal glands. This signals the glands to produce tears.

Parasym Plus Eyes™ works by supporting acetylcholine — the neurotransmitter needed for tear production.

2

The Vagus Nerve

By maximizing acetylcholine, Parasym Plus Eyes™ also supports the vagus nerve. Your vagus nerve is the anti-inflammatory nerve of the body. Normal inflammation is important for healthy and comfortable eyes!

What does the vagus nerve do?

  • The vagus nerve controls inflammation. This nerve also:
  • Allows normal digestion and bowel movements
  • Triggers normal stomach acid production
  • Communicates with the gallbladder to release bile
  • Communicates with the pancreas to release digestive enzymes
  • Slows heart rate and breathing when relaxation is appropriate

From the Inventor

“The production of tears is under control of the autonomic nervous system – specifically, the parasympathetic nervous system. Never before has tear production been addressed neurologically with a supplement blend! By simultaneously supporting both the lacrimal nerves (for tear production) and the vagus nerve (for normal inflammation control) tear production is maximized. This approach is unique, patented, and a necessary step
for normal tears for many.”

REVOLUTIONARY NEW RESEARCH

In the past, tear production was seen as an ocular function only. When viewed as just one aspect of body-wide autonomic function, supporting tear production changes dramatically.

Support autonomic health for normal tear production and overall wellness.

What interferes with the release of acetylcholine?

Aging, nerve damage, and inflammation all negatively affect the release of acetylcholine and ultimately result in dry eyes. Parasym Plus EyesTM is patented to work around all of these issues by directly affecting the receptors – it does not depend upon a functioning nerve.

Support Your Natural Tears Neurologically

Do you need to stimulate your lacrimal or vagus nerves? NO! These nerves are autonomic — this means they work automatically. Then how does this work?

  • Your lacrimal nerves stimulate tear production.
  • Your vagus nerve controls inflammation.
  • To support these nerves, support the neurotransmitter, acetylcholine.
  • By supporting the neurotransmitter, there is no reliance on a functioning nerve.
  • If the lacrimal or vagus nerves are damaged for any reason, tear production can still occur.
  • The neurotransmitter works via the receptors, not the nerve itself.
Natural tear production is supported neurologically.
